Weaving Workshop: Whitescaper @ SAM, 8Q
Yokohama Paratriennale is an international arts festival that began in 2014. The second Paratriennale opened in May 2017 and the third one will be held in 2020, when Tokyo hosts the Summer Olympic Games.

This arts festival is made possible through the collaboration between individuals who possess keen interest and talent for the arts, artists from various fields, people with disabilities and those who have no disability. The festival’s celebration of inclusiveness have enabled its participants to complement one another and create new forms of artistic expressions. When the world gathers for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, the Yokohama Paratriennale hopes to share its experiences and vision for a world without barriers...a world where the word ‘disabled’ will cease to exist.

You will get to meet Japanese visual artist, Yui Inoue and her art installation, theWhitescaper. Both of them will travel to Singapore, Indonesia and Cambodia as part of the Yokohama Paratriennale International Tour! Contribute to her work by weaving your Singapore portion of the Whitescaper at SAM at 8Q. Everyone is welcome, see you there!
